Sue C. Schaaf, 77, of Warsaw, passed away at 6:03 p.m. April 4, 2013, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born Feb. 29, 1936, in Warsaw, to Fred and Mary Schooley Hoover. On Nov. 26, 1954, in Warsaw, she married Kenneth Schaaf, who survives. A lifetime Warsaw resident, she worked at L.M. Berry Inc. for 10 years. She also was a self-employed babysitter for many years and raised many local children who were always considered and counted as part of her family. She was a member of First Brethren Church, Warsaw, for more than 58 years. Also surviving are two daughters. Shannon (and spouse Jeff) Brown, Peru, and Marcia (and spouse Brent) Hollinger, Warsaw; a son, Jeff (and spouse Vicki) Schaaf, Mosinee, Wis.; a brother, Terry Hoover, Kokomo; a sister, Sherrie (and spouse John) Durham, Leesburg; her stepmother, Agnes Bowman, Peru; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Hoover, and a sister Jean Brown. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with the Rev. Howard Immel officiating.
