Steven K. “Steve” Hampton, 64, passed away at 8:13 p.m. March 4, 2016, at Shady Rest Home, Plymouth. He was born Sept. 11, 1951, in Hastings, Mich., to Kenneth G. Hampton and Bonnie Lou Singleton. He was a 1969 graduate of Oak Hill High School, Swayzee. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar; enjoyed being with family and friends. Surviving are his father and stepmother, Kenneth and Charlene Hampton, Warsaw; a sister, Joni L. Hampton (and spouse Donald) Novick, Charlotte, N.C.; five brothers: Douglas (and spouse Cindy) Hampton and Daniel H. (and spouse Katy) Hampton, all of Warsaw; Matthew Hampton, Chicago; Mark (and spouse Sarah) Hampton, Portland, Maine; Kenneth (and spouse Susan) Hampton II, Sanford, Maine; a half sister, Christy Daniels, Warsaw; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Hampton, who died May 31, 1987. A memorial service will take place at a later date Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
