Steven K. Raver, 74, Silver Lake, passed away at 10 a.m. Sept. 6, 2014, at his residence. He was born Sept. 5, 1940, in Milford, Ill., to Arnold and Rose Buss Raver. He was married to Alice Prater, who survives in Silver Lake. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1958, serving in Korea and Germany. He moved to Kosciusko County from Prestonsburg, Ky., 17 years ago. He worked as a lineman for RMC for 10 years, and he was a member of Wabash First Brethren Church. Also surviving are a son, Steven Prater, Columbia City; one daughter, Christine Blankenship, Silver Lake; six grandchildren: Don (and spouse Lisa) Nelson, Akron; Rhealynn Nelson, Prestonsburg; Heather (and spouse Zackary) Williams, Akron; Anthony Blankenship, Silver Lake; Michael Nelson, Silver Lake; Cheyenne Miller, Silver Lake; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
