Steve P. Paege, 91, of Warsaw, died at 2:56 p.m. June 16, 2010, in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.
He was born Sept. 3, 1918, in South Bend, to Edward Joseph and Mary Elizabeth Vecloth Paege. On June 20, 1953, in Warsaw, he married Mirriam Foster Heagy, who died March 19, 2008.
Moving to Warsaw from Bremen in 1953, he was a machine operator at Kimble Glass, retiring in 1981. He was a member of American Legion Post 49, Warsaw, and fought in the Battle of the Bulge as a Sergeant First Class in the European Theater in World War II and served in the Korean War. He was discharged in 1952.
Surviving are a sister, Anna Kuntz, Bremen; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; and a brother and sister-in-law, U.L. and Joan Skipper, Osceola.
Services will be private with Pastor Wayne Whitaker officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military services by members of American Legion Post 49 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1126, both in Warsaw.
Calling is from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, 2290 Provident Court, Warsaw.
