ARGOS- Stella L. Curtis, 67, of 3740 20th Road, Tippecanoe, died at 4:52 a.m. March 22, 2011, in Hickory Creek Nursing Home, Rochester, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Sept. 29, 1943, in Hasting, Minn., to Lee and Edna Tanney Glasby. She married Robert Roy Curtis, who preceded her in death on Dec. 10, 1987.
She lived in the Argos community for the last 35 years, coming from Gary. She was a housewife/homemaker.
Surviving are two sons, Robert Curtis Jr. (and spouse Teresa), Nappanee, and David Lee Curtis, Bourbon; six sisters: Suzie Riley, Lucy Balster, Vicky Dahlstron, Sylvia Glasby, Gloria Burr and Lorane Osmera; two brothers, Henry Glasby and Paul Glasby; and four grandchildren. She was preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, Argos, with Rev. Rob Mace, First Baptist Church, Argos, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Argos.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
