Stanley 'Snip' Earl Killian

Posted
BOURBON – Stanley “Snip” Earl Killian, 83, of Milford, passed away peacefully  Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2020, in his daughter’s residence.

One of four children, of J. B.  and Dora Nunley Killian, Stanley was born March 29, 1936, in Tennessee. He’s always told the story of, as he always said, “The best childhood a kid could ever have.” Everyone who met him would hear a story!

Stanley joined the Army in 1952 and was sent to Korea. One of the best times of his life was serving his country. He worked in Chicago for 19 years, driving to and from Warsaw everyday. He worked locally for the city of Warsaw until he retired. Stan loved working on cars and “jelly beans.”

On April 7, 1962, he married the love of his life, Glenda Sue Patrick, who passed away Sept. 24, 2014.

Stan is survived by his daughter, Debby Killian; sister, Wanda (Quinten) Partin, of Pelham, Tenn.; brother, Carl Killian, of Beersheba Springs, Tenn.; grandchildren, Brittany (Jason) Schwartz, Trace Killian, Bryton (Andrea) Killian and Brandon Fry; two great-grandchildren: Remington Schwartz and Haven Schwartz. He loved his granddog, Linus.

Stan was preceded in death by his beautiful wife; his parents; and loving sister, Jean Turner.

A special thank you to the people at Heartland Hospice of Fort Wayne for their loving care and support during his final days.

As said by many: “I’ve never known anybody that didn’t like Stan.”

In honoring his wishes, no services are planned.

Deaton-Clemens Funeral Home is privileged to be entrusted in assisting the family with arrangements.
