Stand Up For Life

Sacred Heart:

I've been on the front lines of the pro-family movement for over five years, and I have never been as impacted as I was two weeks ago while driving past Sacred Heart Church, seeing the hundreds of crosses lining the property, symbolizing the aborted babies in Kosciusko County.

I would like to publicly thank you for taking a stand for life. So many churches and Christians are so worried about being politically correct or perhaps offending their congregation, that they are afraid to stand up for what is right. Your stand in our community has impacted more than any billboard could ever do. The Indiana Voice for the Family thanks you for your courage.

Since the ruling of Roe v. Wade, millions of children have been slaughtered before ever experiencing the first of their unalienable rights. We now live under a new administration where it has never been more politically incorrect to be pro-life. In fact, before issuing a retraction, we were included in a new definition of domestic terrorists, a title that's laughable, were it not somewhat dangerous and grossly unfair. A title given simply because we dare to disagree with the current media and political climate.

Considering those factors, it is particularly stirring to see the white crosses on Center Street. I have to wonder what would happen if Christians, and "The Church" decided to stop hiding behind their pews and pulpits and stand up for what is right? Imagine what would happen if pastors started being the leaders that God once called them to be, and start leading by example and not by their offering plates. Imagine the possibilities; imagine the change that would happen in America.

It's time to stand up, Church. Who will be the first?
