Squires’ Hamby, Warsaw’s Patton Invited To Participate In Underclass Basketball Showcase INDIANAPOLIS – Manchester junior-to-be Weston Hamby and Warsaw senior Kaylee Patton are among the athletes invited to the IBCA/IHSAA Boys Underclass Basketball Showcase at Ben Davis High School in Indianapolis. The boys event is Saturday and the girls showcase will be July 15.
Other participants in the boys eventwith a local connection include seniors Trenton Daughtry of Wabash (Three Rivers Conference); junior Caleb Furst of Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian (in the same sectional as Manchester and Whitko); senior Will Larkin of Winamac (Hoosier North Athletic Conference); and senior Mitchell Wilson of Columbia City (traditionally plays most Times-Union area schools).
Girls hoopsters invited include Kaitlyn Costner of Elkhart Central (in the same sectional as Warsaw); Lillian Frasure of North Judson, Remi Jordan of Knox and Laini Joseph of Winamac (HNAC); Bailey Hartsough of Lakeland (sectional with Wawasee and Tippecanoe Valley); as well as Maddy Payne of NorthWood, Brynn Shoup-Hill of Goshen and Jaci Walker of Northridge (Northern Lakes Conference).
Staged by the Indiana Basketball Coaches Association with support from the Indiana High School Athletic Association, the Underclass Showcase events are designed to give exposure to approximately 240 of the top basketball prospects (120 boys and 117 girls) from across Indiana to colleges across the state and nation.
The showcase events are open to the public. Admission is $5 per person per day. IBCA-member coaches will be admitted at no charge by showing their IBCA membership card.
