Solid Waste District To Have Paper-Shredding Events

Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District should have several paper-shredding events for the public this year.
At its meeting on Tuesday, the Kosciusko County Solid Waste Management District Board agreed to have events in August, October and December.
Integra of Elkhart will oversee the events. KCSWMD Director Tom Ganser said Integra will pick up the paper in carts and then take it back to be shredded.
More information will be announced later.
In other business, the board:
• Approved having Green Wave handle electronics recycling for the district if it can get out of its current contract with ERI.
• Adjusted its proposed budget for 2026 to $537,496. Additions to the budget include having temporary recycling events in Kosciusko County towns.
The board's next meeting is 11 a.m. Aug. 12 at the depot.
