Smoke Inhalation Sends 2 To HospitalA house fire Thursday afternoon sent two people to the hospital for smoke inhalation.
Warsaw-Wayne Fire Territory responded to 318 S. Lake St. at 12:55 p.m. Thursday for a report of a house fire.
Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a fire in the home’s kitchen, WWFT Battalion Chief Rob Barker said. Estimated damage is $50,000, and Barker doesn’t think the home is a total loss but said it sustained heat and smoke damage throughout.
Barker said a man and a woman were taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital by Lutheran EMS for smoke inhalation.
The fire was under control by 1:15 p.m., he said, and they had cleared the scene by 2:47 p.m.
