The sixth annual SummerFest Tractor Show & Pull will be held Aug. 1-2.
The free community event will take place at 6840 S. County Farm Road, Claypool. The show will host tractor displays, tractor pulls, farmhouse market, kid’s activities and more.
Tractors of all make and models will be on display. Club members, as well as non-members, will bring their prize tractors for all to see. Many of those same tractors will also take to the pull track on Friday and Saturday at 5 p.m. Garden tractors will be on display during the two-day event. The garden tractor pulls will be on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The younger patrons to the event will get their fill of fun when they take a tractor for a spin at the club’s tractor driving experience. The activity will be Aug. 1 from 4 to 6 p.m. and Aug. 2 from 2 to 6 p.m. Kids can play in the corn pit, hunt for buried treasure, or slide down the giant tube slide. Games will be on hand to enjoy both days. Alpacas can be seen at the show on both days.
The farmhouse market will be open both days, featuring vendors with homemade specialties and goodies to eat. Do some shopping for candles, crochet and laser items, jewelry and more. A special demonstration of wheat looming on Saturday by Leeann Snyder is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. Hope Works Woodworking will also be doing a live demonstration of woodcarving Friday from noon to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon. There will be items on display and a raffle to win items.
Antique farm equipment baling hay and threshing wheat will be running each day.
A corn hole tournament is scheduled for 6 p.m. Aug. 1. There is no fee to enter the tournament.
Saturday, Aug. 2 will start early with the Kurt Miller Memorial Fund breakfast at 7 a.m., followed by the tractor drive at 9:30 a.m. The breakfast, starting at 7 a.m., raises funds for the Kurt Miller Memorial Fund. The Mystery 5K run starts at 8 a.m. Registration for the race will open at 7:30 a.m. All finishers will receive a finisher medal.
Saturday, from 6 to 9 p.m., visitors to the show will be treated to live music from Beez and the Rocker. Bring a chair and enjoy the show.
Food served by Wheels On Fire Cancer Crusaders and tractor-churned ice cream will be served Friday and Saturday.
