Sherry BrannockSYRACUSE – Sherry Brannock, 79, of Syracuse, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021, at Miller’s Merry Manor of Syracuse.  

She was born on Oct. 2, 1941, in Richmond, to Gus and Dorothy Hensley Beasley. She moved to the Syracuse area in 1974. She was a longtime school teacher having taught math in middle school, as well as high school. She was most recently a member of the Harvey Memorial Community Church in Bradenton Beach, Fla., where she wintered, and attended the boat-in service at Lake Wawasee in the summer.   

She is survived by her two sons: Mike (Mary Jane) Brannock, of Syracuse; and Brian (Jill) Brannock, of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; stepson, Rick Brannock, of Bradenton, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters: Mickey Turco, of Elmhurst, Ill.; and Debbie (Beryl) Atkinson, of Bradenton, Fla.; one brother, Gary Beasley, of Elwood. Many nieces and nephews also survive.  

She was preceded by her husband, K. Dale Brannock; her brother, Ron Beasley; as well as two sisters: Joyce Kaiser and Sandy Laub.  

Visitation will be held on Monday, Sept. 20 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be on Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Cox officiating. Burial will be at the Syracuse Cemetery.  The family kindly asks to all that attend to wear masks and practice social distancing.
