ROCHESTER – Sherri Marie Adamson, 50, of Rochester, passed away Jan. 7, 2013, at her residence.
She was born June 4, 1962, in  Fulton, to Calvin Lee and Evelyn VanDuyne Braman. On Dec. 4, 1982, she married Teri Lynn Adamson.
As one of six children, she shared her childhood with three brothers and two sisters. She was a proud 1980 graduate of Rochester High School and later attended Purdue University.
She and her husband enjoyed raising two sons. The  blessings of two grandsons were added to the family tree. Paramount in her life was her family, especially her grandsons. She enjoyed shopping for them all. A sports enthusiast, she cheered for the Cubs and Peyton Manning. She looked forward to girl’s nights out, a great dining experience and catching up with the latest.  To relax she listened to country music and was an avid collector of John Deere memorabilia.
Actively involved with her community, she was a past leader with Fulton County 4-H Leader Woodrow Peppers during her earlier years, Fulton County Republican Women and First Presbyterian Church, Rochester. She served Tippecanoe Valley School Corporation as treasurer. Her sons, Derek (2004), and Clayton (2013), played on the Viking baseball team and Clay for the Viking tennis team. She enjoyed following their activities and cheering the teams on. Her love for Viking sports grew and she could be seen from the sidelines of most of the lady and men’s Viking athletic contests.
She will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Teri; two sons, Derek (and spouse Brittany) Adamson, Tippecanoe, and Clayton Adamson, at home; two grandsons, Parker Lee and Brock Paul Adamson; her mother, Evelyn Braman, Rochester; two sisters, Judy (and spouse Russ) Taylor, Walkerton, and Pat (and spouse Cam) Rathbun, Warsaw; three brothers: Bill (and spouse Georgina) Braman, Fla.; Phill (and spouse Monica) Braman, Michigan; and John Braman, Indianapolis; an aunt, Marjorie Phillips; canine companions, Lilly, a Beagle/Blue Healer mix, and Sandy, a Golden Retriever; and cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Calvin, who died May 21, 2004.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Good Family Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 1200 W. 18th St., Rochester, with Pastor Junior Bose officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
