The following is a list of books on the subject of secession. Which is how our republic was founded and almost permanently divided during the Civil War. It is also how some new nations have been formed in recent decades sometimes peacefully, sometimes violently. For those readers of the Times-Union who are interested in doing their own research on this subject, I have assembled the following booklist. Most of these books can be found at the Warsaw Public Library while the remainder can be found on Amazon.com or through a Google search.
