Scott McCarty, 44, of North Manchester, died at 5 p.m. June 3, 2007, in his residence.
He was born March 27, 1963, in Erie, Mich., to Isadore G. and Jacquelyn Hale McCarty. On July 4, 2004, in Silver Lake, he married Sharon DeVille, who survives.
Living in Toledo, Ohio, until moving to North Manchester 10 years ago, he was a truck driver for General Motors.
Also surviving are two sons, Kris and Seth McCarty, both of Toledo; a daughter, Rose McCarty, Laketon; a stepson, Brian Stratton, Warsaw; two stepdaughters, Sarah Alexander and Stephanie Boxell, both of Warsaw; a brother, Dennis McCarty, Erie, Mich.; a sister, Colleen Vandercook, Erie; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at a later date in Toledo.
No calling is planned.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
