KENDALLVILLE – Scott Anthony Mills, 38, of Kendallville, passed away May 1, 2012.
He was born July 22, 1973, in Wabash, to Charles and Sharon L. Hawkins Mills. On April 17, 1998, he married Nancy Y. Robinson, who died Sept. 5, 2010.
He was a 1992 graduate of Central Noble High School and worked at Color Masters, Butler, for six years as second shift lead manager. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge, Butler, and the National Rifle Society. His greatest strength was the love and compassion he had for others. During his wife’s three-year battle with brain cancer, he was her primary caregiver. He spent most nights at the hospital after he got off work during her many stays at Parkview Noble Hospital and Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne. His care and devotion was simply outstanding. His presence around those who loved him will be greatly missed. His sense of humor and laughter has been silenced, but our love for him will endure forever.
Surviving are his mother, Sharon L. Mills, Albion; his father and stepmother, Charles and Mary Mills, Warsaw; a sister, Michelle L. (and spouse Kenn) Harvey, Marion; a brother, Jeff A. (and spouse Krista) Mills, Appleton, Wis.; nieces and nephews, Jedidiah, Josiah, Joyce, Elizabeth and Heritier Harvey and Kiera and Jianna Mills; his fiance and best friend, April Myers, Kendallville; her children, Savannah and Jude Myers, both of Kendallville; and his beloved and loyal dog, Sasha.
No services are planned. Burial will be at a later date.
Calling is from 1 to 5 p.m. Saturday at Young Family Funeral Home, 222 S. State St., Kendallville. ***** Memorials may be made to the Noble County Humane Society or to the children of April Myers.
