Sanity

In response to Linda Torpy's "Wake Up."

Linda you asked me where my sanity is, therefore I want to let you know that I have already been vigilant toward this matter.

I have been looking all over, as a matter of fact; I have left no stone unturned, but no sanity. I ask, Linda Torpy do you have any idea where you might find sanity? Do you have sanity? If so, where did you find yours? What color is it?

What form does it take? What does sanity look like? Is it something you are born with, or is it something you are taught? I asked a fellow contemporary about this thing called sanity and he told me that he believed it was lost during the Bush years. Nonetheless, I ask, where do you find sanity in a society where the main objective is the pathological pursuit of profit and power?

During the health care debate over the last year millions of dollars were spent by the insurance companies, the pharmaceutical companies, and other special interest groups to protect the pillages of multifarious empires (corporations).

All the while millions were going without health care, thousands were losing their health care everyday, hundreds of thousands going bankrupt, losing their homes, their livelihoods, and no doubt, their will to go on.

However, this did not make any difference, why, because these empires need to make their profits, so they can pay their shareholders, and stockholders. These empires and others (big oil, etc) have been built for decades by the subjugation and manipulation of millions of hardworking citizens. While all along destroying the very fabric of our nation, namely, its people, and its environment, consequently, where is the sanity? Maybe, Linda Torpy if we can figure out what insanity is, maybe we can discover sanity.

So, then Linda, if I can understand you correctly, you say that you are worried about your investments with these bandits and robbers of the great empires.

Actually, millions, I would presume profit form this society of bandits, one example, the stock market. In other words, in a world of bandits, those who are not actually bandits, are induced to behave like bandits simply to survive.

When the rules are set up to make a society "adaptive" to bandits, it makes bandits of everyone.

Linda, I ask, do you ever think about the fellow human beings whose carcasses these empires are built upon, or the sweat shops young children are slaving in so you can profit in the stock market? Your investments depend upon how many more human beings or wildlife these vast empires can devour, not to mention their environments. Yes Linda Torpy, I too wonder where the sanity is in a society where the main objective is the pathological pursuit of profit and power at all costs? However, my advice is that if anyone can find this elusive thing called sanity, to put it away in a safe place so the psychopaths will not subjugate and manipulate it for profit.
