Sandra Kay “Sandy” Hedington, 68, of Tippecanoe, passed away at 3:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at her home.
She was born on Jan. 30, 1952, in Milford, to Hubert E. and Anna Wise Cain.
She grew up in Milford, graduated in 1970 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and lived in the Tippecanoe area for 47 years. She was married on Sept. 9, 1972, in Milford to Jerry Lee Hedington, who survives. She was formerly employed at Hart Shaffner in Rochester for 25 years and Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw for 12 years.
She was a member of the First Brethren Church in Milford.
She is survived by husband, Jerry Hedington, of Tippecanoe; son, Todd Hedington, of Tippecanoe; stepdaughter, Bethan Ann Nelson, of Edwardsburg, Mich.; two grandchildren: Tyler and Kayce; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Jay Hedington; granddaughter, Haley Mae Hedington; and brother, Steve Cain.
Per Sandra’s wishes, no services will be held. Private burial will take place in the Tippecanoe Cemetery at a later date. Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. Ind. 15, Warsaw, is in charge of arrangements.
