NAPPANEE - Samuel E. Mast, 65, of 10297 W. CR 1200N, Nappanee, died at 4:30 a.m. Aug. 13, 2008, in St. Joseph Regional Medical Center, South Bend, after a brief illness.
He was born Aug. 9, 1943, in Wyoming, Del., to Eli H. and Katie J. Yoder Mast. On Aug. 4, 1983, he married Inez Mae Anderson, who survives.
Moving to Nappanee from Pinecraft, Fla., in 1987, he owned a steel fabricating shop and was a member of Old Order Amish Church.
Also surviving are his mother, Katie Mast, Wyoming, Del.; seven sisters: Barbara (and spouse Dan) Beachy and Mary (and spouse Henry) Yoder, all of Hartley, Del.; Lizzie (and spouse Samuel) Troyer and Edna (and spouse Samuel) Miller, all of Wyoming, Del.; Susie (and spouse Herman) Beachy, Emma (and spouse John) Miller and Katie (and spouse Amos) Miller, all of Dover, Del.; and three brothers, Eli Jr. (and spouse Sarah) Mast and Henry (and spouse Rosa) Mast, all of Wyoming, Del., and Levi (and spouse Emma) Mast, Crab Orchard, Ky. He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.
Services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Larry Schwartz residence at 9720 W. CR 1200N, with Home Ministry officiating. Burial will be in Weldy Cemetery.
Calling is after 3 p.m. today and all day Friday at the David Anderson residence at 11574 N. CR 1000W.
