Ruth Sill West

BOURBON – Ruth Sill West, age 89, passed away Saturday, Nov. 28, 2020, at 10:50 p.m. in Miller’s Merry Manor Nursing Home of Plymouth.

She was a homemaker and was secretary for 21 years for the Bourbon First United Methodist Church. Sha had also been employed by Hart Shaffner & Marx of Rochester.

Ruth was born in Bourbon on Nov. 19, 1931, to Graham and Grace Huitema Grossman. On July 9, 1950, she married Keith L. Sill, who passed away on July 7, 1988. On Oct. 1, 1994, she then married Jack West, who passed away July 11, 2020.

Survivors include three daughters: Karen (Jeff) Worsham, of Bourbon; Rosanna Griggs, of Latfayette; Rachel (Richard) Litchfield, of Englewood, Fla.; and son, Roger (Lisa) Sill, of Los Angeles, Calif. Also surviving are her 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husbands; one son, David Keith; son-in-law, Jeff Griggs; sisters: Katherine Philpott, Dorcas Porter, Audrey Grossman, Eleanor Morlan; and brother, Paul Grossman.

The family will have a grave side service Friday, Dec. 4 in the Tippecanoe Cemetery, Tippecanoe, with Pastors Rob Seewald and Kenneth Cooke of Bourbon First United Methodist Church officiating.
