Ruth Elda Sobon, 93, of 600 N. Colfax St., Warsaw, died at 8:20 p.m. Aug. 23, 2012, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake. She was born Dec. 26, 1918, in Pittsburgh, Pa., to William Edward and Olive Violet Diley Johnston. On Aug. 11, 1944, she married Anthony Theodore Sobon, who died Nov. 13, 1980. She moved to Warsaw in 2005. She had been a member of Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church, Sewickley, Pa., for 80 years. She was honored for her years of service with the Women’s Auxiliary of Bellevue Hospital. Surviving are a daughter, Faye (and spouse William) Myers, Warsaw; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. She also was preceded in death by a brother. A private graveside service will be Sept. 8 at Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church Cemetery, Sewickley. A memorial service will be Sept. 9 at Mt. Nebo Presbyterian Church, Sewickley, officiated by Pastor Doug Dorsey. Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw, is in charge of local arrangements. ***** Memorials may be made to Mt.
