ROCHESTER – Russell Dean "Russ" Carr, 95, Rochester, died at 10:36 p.m. Saturday, April 18, 2020, at Wynnfield Crossing.
On Aug. 19, 1924, Russell D. Carr was born in Rochester to Harley and Clara Grey Carr.
As a member of the United States Navy, Russ served our country during World War II. He was a quartermaster on the USS LST 899 from 1944 - 1946. Russ was accomplished in Morse Code.
Russ and Alice “Lee” Showley were married on Aug. 2, 1947. Lee died Nov. 14, 1971. On April 24, 1973, Russ married Joan Milord. She died Sept. 22, 2005.
Private family services will be held on Tuesday, April 28 in the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester. It will be live streamed at 11 a.m. on the dedicated Facebook page JD Good. Donnie Kohls will officiate. Interment will be in the Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
