Editor, Times-Union: I am writing about the Right to Work bill they are trying to push through in Indianapolis.
I believe it is wrong to try to undermine the workers in this state. This bill is to break unions.
The governor was bragging about how great the Indiana economy is under his leadership. Lease the toll road, it will be a panacea for the state; all our problems solved. If things are going so well, why are they employing thug tactics to break the unions in this state?
I am not a union member but I realize that because of unions we enjoy 40-hour work week, safety parameters in the workplace and eliminated child labor practices.
The unions did not get anything that was not given to them by management. Is this bad union or bad management? If this bill is passed into law we will have twice the work at half the pay. Why not pass into law making bad management illegal in Indiana? That would really help the economy and attract workers and foster an atmosphere of good will between management and the working class.
