Rotary's Annual Howl Bash Raises $25K

The Warsaw Rotary Club held its annual “Howl at the Moon” event benefitting the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts Friday night.

Nearly 60 people attended the event, which included a hayride, cookout, music and socialization. Rotary Club President Bruce Woodward surprised those attending with a 14th Century Howling Fire Lighting ceremony.

Elisa Wise, director of donor relations for the Wagon Wheel, was impressed with the event and the efforts and dedication Warsaw Rotary members put into the event, according to a news release from the Rotary Club. To those assembled, she said, “You weren’t kidding when you said you were going to put on a show.”

The winner of the 50:50 raffle, Beth Harrison of State Farm Insurance, donated her $550 winnings to the Wagon Wheel. During the course of the evening, over $2,500 was raised for the Wagon Wheel, the press release states.

Food was donated by Greg and Sheila Cobb; a Happy Days micro-brew keg was donated by Chris Harrison; a commercial-sized grill was provided by Seth Bradford and manned by Bradford with help from Ken and Sina Locke. Music and the sound system were provided by Woodward.

The event was hosted by Jim and Carol Pattison, and numerous Rotary members helped make the event happen.

Warsaw Rotary Club holds their luncheon meetings at the Wyndham Garden Hotel, Warsaw, at noon Fridays. Visit www.warsawrotary.com for more information.
