Ronald ‘Ronnie’ YatesRonald “Ronnie” Yates, 73, of Claypool, peacefully passed from this life, Saturday, July 24, 2021, at his home in Claypool surrounded by family.
Ronnie was born Oct. 30, 1947, in Warsaw, to Eddie and Elzire Marshall Yates. Ronnie married Kimberly Allen on March 3, 1979.
Ronnie enjoyed working on lawn mowers, flying his Ultralight Plane, cutting wood, playing music and working on cars. He loved spending time with family, friends and especially his grandchildren. Ronnie was a hard worker his entire life and honorably served in the United States Air Force.
Ronnie is survived by his wife, Kimberly, of 42 years; one son, Shane (Kimberly) Yates, of North Manchester; two grandchildren: Tyler Yates, of Mentone; Brayden Yates, of North Manchester; one brother, William (Judy) Yates, of Palestine; and two sisters: Phyllis (Gary) Beam, of Mentone; and Wilma Richardson, of Claypool.
Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Willard Yates and Terry Yates; and a sister, Thelma Black.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday Aug. 7 at 12 p.m. at the Free United Baptist Church, 7035 S. Ind. 13, Pierceton. Pastor Etsy Allen is officiating. A memorial visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Heritage Funeral and Cremation Services in Warsaw was entrusted with his care.
