Roma Jean Maish

Roma Jean Maish, 82, Leesburg and Palm City, Fla., passed away Jan. 16, 2014, in Grace Village Health Care, Winona Lake.
She was born Sept. 16, 1931, in Swayzee to Virgil and Ada Ammon Gowin. She was married to her husband of 44 years, Robert D. Maish, who preceded her to heaven July 23, 2007.
She was a regular attendee of Warsaw Community Church and Palm City Presbyterian Church. She liked to spend time with her family, travel and play golf, but she was best known for her love of cooking and fondness for card games. Her legacy is preserved by the endowment she and Bob established to create and perpetually maintain “The Gardens of Central Park” in Warsaw.
Surviving are two daughters, Dana (and spouse John) Pritchett, Powell, Ohio, and Kimberly (and spouse Denny) Fuller, Leesburg; five grandchildren: Jed (and spouse Melissa) Pritchett, Riley and Jordan Fuller, Kelly (and spouse Joseph) Pritchett Ewing and Griffin (and spouse Caitlin) Fuller; three great-grandchildren, Clark Ewing, Taylor Pritchett and Louise Ewing; and many other dear family members. She was also preceded to heaven by a son, Jerry Bruce Gast, who died in 1952 and six sisters: Wilma and Annabelle Gowin, Vivian Gowin Lord, Mary Alice Gowin Lawshe, Louise Gowin Brown and Janice Gowin Fawley.
Services will be at a later date.
