FULTON COUNTY - On Thursday, March 12 at approximately 3:25 p.m., Fulton County emergency personnel were dispatched to the area of CR 300 North and CR 600 West on a report of a vehicle overturned in a water-filled ditch.
Upon arrival, first responders located the driver, identified as Linda Migonis, 79, of Rochester, deceased at the scene, according to a news release from the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office.
A preliminary investigation conducted by the Sheriff’s Office indicates that Migonis was operating a 2015 Fiat northbound on CR 600 West, south of CR 300 North. For reasons that remain under investigation, the vehicle left the east side of the roadway and overturned in the ditch.
Family members informed investigators that Migonis had been missing since late in the afternoon on Wednesday, March 11.
The investigation remains ongoing; however, foul play is not suspected at this time.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Indiana State Police, Indiana Department of Natural Resources, Aubbeenaubbee Township Fire Department, Rochester Fire Department, Parkview EMS and the Fulton County Coroner’s Office.
