Robert W. WeaverROCHESTER – Robert W. Weaver, 87, Rochester, died at 3:10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 2, 2020, at Woodlawn Hospital.

On July 26, 1932, Robert William Weaver was born in Gary, to Earl L. and Mary Catherine Considine Weaver.

At Lake Station, Bob and Elizabeth "Betty" Jean Donaghey were married on July 30, 1955; she died Feb. 2, 1998.

Bob served in the United States Air Force ROTC. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant upon college graduation.  His tour of duty included a stint of service during the Vietnam War as he flew over 200 missions on board the RB - 57 as a  reconnaissance navigator and camera operator. Prior to that he served as navigator on the Boeing B - 52 bomber.  His career was from  1956 to 1977, when he was honorably discharged as Lt. Col. Robert W. Weaver on April 1, 1977, from Grissom AFB.

On July 13, 2001, Bob and Nancy Taylor were married.  

A mass of Christian burial will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Feb, 8 in the St. Joseph Catholic Church of Rochester. Friends may visit with the family from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7 and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 in the Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester.

The Fulton County Veterans Honor Guard and the Wright Patterson Air Force Base Honors Team will conduct graveside military rites. Interment will be at Rochester IOOF Cemetery.
