ROCHESTER – Robert L. Holloway Sr., 89, Rochester, died at 3:40 p.m. March 14, 2016, at his residence. He was born Jan. 29, 1927, in Rochester, to Lee Roy and Lillie May Mikesell Holloway. On May 27, 1948, in Wabash, he married Vera Frances Shriver, who preceded him in death April 25, 2002. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1947. During his two tours of duty, he spent 11 months in Japan and 17 months in Germany. A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with Larry Mowrer officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Fulton County Honor Guard and the U.S. Army Honor Guard. Burial will be in Akron Cemetery.
