NORTH MANCHESTER - Robert H. Fingerle, 85, of North Manchester, died at 3:36 p.m. June 17, 2007, in Timbercrest Healthcare Center, North Manchester.
He was born Jan. 24, 1922, in Flint, Mich., to Daniel A. and Anna Maude Miller Fingerle. On Sept. 19, 1948, he married Gladys E. Greer, who survives.
He was a self-employed excavator and co-owned Kosco Peat Moss & Lime, Silver Lake, from 1948-65. He was a member of North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church.
Also surviving are a two daughters, Mrs. Michael (Donna R.) Wray, Peru, and Mrs. Patrick (Karen S.) Wray, Greenville, Ohio; three brothers: Kenneth R. Fingerle, Roann; Chester Fingerle, North Manchester; and Donald Fingerle, Rossville; three sisters, Elsie Geiser, Mrs. Ralph (Pauline) Miller and Mrs. Dale (Doris) Kelsey, all of North Manchester; eight grandchildren; and 30 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at North Manchester Old German Baptist Brethren Church with the Home Brethren officiating. Burial will be in Old German Baptist Brethren Cemetery, North Manchester.
