Roann Covered Bridge Festival Unveils 2026 Parade Theme

Posted

ROANN - As the United States celebrates its 250th anniversary of independence, the Roann Covered Bridge Festival announced a parade theme that honors both national heritage and local pride: “Bridging Liberty, 250 Years United – A Star-Spangled Celebration.”
This year’s theme is more than a tribute – it’s a call to reflect on the enduring spirit of freedom and the bridges, literal and symbolic, that have connected Americans across generations, according to a provided news release. The Roann Covered Bridge, a landmark in Wabash County, stands as a testament to resilience, craftsmanship and community – values that echo the founding ideals of the nation, the release states.
A parade steeped in history and celebration, the 2026 parade will be the centerpiece of the festival, weaving together patriotic pageantry, historical storytelling and hometown charm. Honoring the past and inspiring the future, festival organizers invite families, businesses and civic groups to participate in the parade by designing floats and performances that reflect the theme. Whether it’s a reenactment of the signing of the Declaration of Independence or a tribute to local heroes who’ve served the nation, every entry will help tell the story of 250 years of unity and progress.
The Roann Covered Bridge Festival will take place the weekend after Labor Day, with the parade scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 12, 2026. As always, the festival promises free family entertainment, delicious food, craft vendors, kids’ market and a celebration of small-town spirit.
