In June of this year, Indiana Right to Life reported that Planned Parenthood of Indiana had listed National City Bank as one of the top sponsors of its "Gathering of Goddesses and Gods" event held on April 12 in Indianapolis. The event, billed as "a two-hour pampering session that included massages, spa treatments, and psychic readings" reportedly raised over $200,000 for Planned Parenthood, Indiana's largest abortion provider. Planned Parenthood of Indiana is annually responsible for the deaths of nearly 6,000 unborn children in its three Indiana abortion facilities.

Kosciusko County Right to Life has had accounts with National City for many years. Due to our opposition to Planned Parenthood's agenda we were concerned that a business we patronize would support such an organization. In June, Kosciusko County Right to Life sent a letter to the chairman and president of National City Bank of Indiana and sent copies of the letter to the local Warsaw National City manager, and the chairman and CEO of National City. This letter expressed our concerns and asked National City to assure us that they would not be a supporter of Planned Parenthood in the future.

Four months later there has been no response from National City. Since there has been no communication from National City, the Kosciusko County Right to Life Board wanted to let our supporters know that we have transferred the organization's accounts to a bank that supports pro-life values.
