Richard “Rick” Svinarich, 50, died at 3:45 a.m. Sept. 15, 2012, in Mason Health and Rehab, Warsaw.
He was born March 4, 1962, in Columbus, Ohio, to John and Catherine Evans Svinarich. On May 24, 2003, in Marathon Key, Fla., he married Lori Meck, who survives.
Moving to Warsaw from Columbus, Ohio, in 1976, he graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1980 and earned an associate’s degree in applied services electrical engineering from ITT in 1989. He worked in maintenance at Paragon Medical Inc., Pierceton, and enjoyed golf, water sports and most of all time with his sons.
Also surviving are two sons, John and Logan Svinarich, both of Warsaw; his mother, Kayte Svinarich, Warsaw; and three brothers: John (and spouse Beth) Svinarich, Denver, Colo.; Michael (and spouse Carol) Svinarich, Albuquerque, N.M.; and Robert Svinarich, Warsaw. He was preceded in death by his father, John Svinarich, who died in June 18, 1981.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Warsaw, officiated by Father Philip DeVolder of the church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
