ROCHESTER – Richard McKee, 86, of 318 E. 9th St., Rochester, died at 7:55 a.m. April 26, 2011, in Peabody Retirement Center, North Manchester. He was born Aug. 14, 1924, in Rochester, to George and Sarah Burns McKee. Surviving are two daughters, Cheryl (and spouse Jerry) Brown, Rochester, and Jacqueline (and spouse David) Danhauser, Logansport; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol Jones (and companion Bill Hivey), Akron, and Marilyn (and spouse Pete) Horton, Summerville, Ga. He was preceded in death by his wife, twin sisters and a brother. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Good Family Funeral Home, Rochester, with the Rev. Junior Bose officiating. Burial will be in Rochester IOOF Cemetery. Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service Friday at the funeral home. Military rites will be by members of the Leroy Shelton American Legion Post 36 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars 1343. ***** Memorials may be made to the LeRoy Shelton American Legion.
