SYRACUSE - Richard H. Merriman, 77, of Syracuse, died at 6:51 p.m. May 28, 2009, in Goshen General Hospital.
He was born Oct. 30, 1931, in Franklin County, Pa. On Oct. 11, 1981, he married Joanna Brooks, who survives.
Moving to Syracuse from Sarasota, Fla., in 1995, he was a receiver at Pamida, Syracuse. He was a member of EOSN Bowling League, Syracuse, and was a U.S. Navy Korean War veteran.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard Irving Lee Merriman, Chambersburg, Pa., and Richard Henry Lee Merriman, Syracuse.
A memorial gathering will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Brooks residence, 6943 Eli Lilly Road.
Mishler-Eastlund Funeral Home, Harris Chapel, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
