AURORA, Ill. — Richard A. Jamison, Aurora, Ill., born April 29, 1932, passed away July 10, 2017, at the age of 85.
He was born in Claypool to Deverl and Thelma Tucker Jamison.
Richard was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and was employed by AT&T for 33 years. He loved family, traveling, skiing and working in his yard.
He is the loving husband of Ruthene Howard Jamison; father of Michael (Debbie) Jamison and Michele Jamison; grandfather of Brittany Jamison and Amanda Jamison; brother of Byron Jamison; stepbrother of Cynthia (Ron) Hoppas and John (Dixie) Nichols; brother-in-law of Junior (Vickie) Howard, John (Connie) Howard and Mary Edna (Howard) Taylor; and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Michael; stepmother, Eunice Jamison; stepbrother, John Nichols; and brother-in-law, Lowel (Tina) Howard.
A graveside service will be at 11 a .m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Palestine Cemetery.
