Republican Hypocrisy

Editor, Times-Union:

What I find hilarious, Mr. Raypholtz? The Republican hypocrisy.

You left out President Obama's three terms in the state senate, president of the Harvard Law Review, taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School for 12 years. Not to mention president of the United States. To Palin's meager journalism degree.

She was mayor of Wasilla of 6,300 people. Debt grew from about $1 million to $25 million.

Her governorship of 650,000, 17 U. S. cities have more people than the state of Alaska, included entitlement to a $58 per diem travel allowance just to stay at her home. Total of $16,951. She had $43,490 in travel expenses for the times her family accompanied her on state business. And there's the $442 million bridge to nowhere. In 2008 Alaska was still the largest recipient of federal earmarks. While there is no sales or income tax in Alaska.

Troopergate scandal? Her son was tazered by her former brother-in-law for vandalizing. But you probably already knew all of this. Right?

George Bush was popular too and look what happened. Seventy percent disapproval rating. He spent 977 days of the 2,890 days on vacation. That's 34 percent.

If the economy improves this year it will be because Bush and his legions of incompetent clowns and criminals are gone.

The failure of George Bush is that he became more big government than the Democrats. Guess he figures that the economy will turn right around once he stops funneling our money to his cronies.

But then this is the party that invited the Joe the Plumber to their gathering.

According to T. Boone Pickens, America only has 20 percent supply of the world's oil resources. And he's an oilman.

The wilderness bill for recoverable oil, gas and coal on these 2 million acres are low. Answer: renewable energy. Mining those 2 million acres are not going to solve our energy or jobs problems.

Federal Reserve began cutting rates dramatically in 2001. The goal is to expand the money supply and encourage borrowing. It spurred spending and investing. The idea that spending was patriotic was proposed by the White House, remember.

Take a bunch of assets that have home mortgages, bundle them into one managed package that collects all of the mortgage payments, and use the money to pay investors on the managed package. Real estate acts as collateral.

Spelled out, Wall Street failed because there was more money to be made by selling the repacked dead horse to the next sucker that thought they were buying steak. You can thank the deregulated market for selling the bad loans.

I hope this helped your research.

Hopefully, one day Rush Hannity will come clean about their stupidity of misinformation.

It takes some of us more than just bantering to vote for Sarah Palin. You betcha.

You have a nice day.

To date, $656.1 billion have been allocated to the illegal war in Iraq.

It's been 2,159 days since mission accomplished in Iraq.
