Just recently, our community lost an outstanding citizen of near Oswego, Wallace Huffman. I'd just like to say a bit on the life of Wally Huffman.
He was a charter member of our Lions Club in Oswego, having been organized in 1958. He helped build the Oswego Community Building. He was secretary of the club for 28 years. He worked with eyeglass lenses refractor, for glasses to be sent to the less fortunate in Central America. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, a Shriner, Scottish Rite, and also worked many years with KEMRAD. He did volunteer work for the Kosciusko County Historical Society, a World War II vet, mail carrier, pilot and a member of Leesburg Methodist Church.
Wallace Huffman lived a full life, and his work will not be forgotten.
