Religious Freedom

Editor, Times-Union:

What a person puts on their car as a license plate, and that plate has "In God We Trust," this is their freedom, it is on their own private property, their car. Also, this "In God We Trust" is on our money. Freedom is for everyone, not just the atheist.

Should the religious people allow the atheist to govern what we do? No!

Freedom is for everyone, not just a few. It seems as though all the religions of the world are here in the USA. We have our rights also. One has the right to protest, but not to destroy other's freedom. Many religious denominations could take offense to this against the atheist.

Freedom in this country is for all, not just a few.

In our national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, there are three verses. The third verse is this:

"O Thus be it ever when freemen shall stand, between their loved home and the war's desolation; Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven rescued land Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation! The conquer we must, when our cause it is just; and this be our motto; 'In God is Our Trust' And the Star Spangled Banner in triumph shall wave o'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!"

I am a very religious person, also a very proud American, as on my mother's side my great-great-grandfather fought in the Revolutionary War, so that this country would be free and those who drew up the constitution of this country and the First amendment on the four freedoms, must never be destroyed by atheists.

The religious believers must stand for their rights and freedom also.
