I know Warsaw is its own little "bubble," but I am tiring of the letters to the editor stating that "such-and-such should not be legal because such-and-such is wrong according to the Bible."
When are you all going to realize that everybody has different beliefs, and certainly not everyone follows the same religion (if any) as you?
I respect others' opinions, because I wish the same to be afforded to me. That is why I am happy to be living in this country, because nowhere in any legislation does it tell me that I have to believe a certain way. Nowhere in any legislation do you see "This is illegal simply because the Bible says it's wrong."
That is sadly the only attitude I see around here. Please. Like I said, I respect your opinions and beliefs, but you need to realize we live in America and this country is here to allow us freedom. If you think something is so wrong, according to your religion, that it needs to be illegal - simply don't practice whatever act it is. It's as easy as that.
