ROANN - Raymond Eugene Weller, 75, of rural Denver, Ind., died at 12:32 a.m. Sept. 14, 2007, in Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne.

He was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Wabash County, to Chester and Beatrice Fetrow Weller. On Nov. 19, 1955, at Chili Methodist Church, he married Barbara J. Fouts, who survives.

He was a senior loss control specialist for Farmers Insurance Co. for 17 years, and also drove a truck for Schneider Trucking Co. He also was a licensed minister with the Church of the Brethren. He was a member, elder, and past deacon of the Roann Church of the Brethren. He went on two mission trips to India, two to Jamaica and two to Mexico. He also was a U.S. Army veteran.

Also surviving is one daughter, Rae Jean Lewis Wallace, Akron; a son, David Weller, Peru; four grandchildren: Aaron and Brandon Weller, both of Peru; Dakota and Devin Wallace, both of Akron; two great-grandchildren, Richelle and Brooklyn Weller, both of Peru; and a brother, Max (and wife Marlene) Weller, Silver Lake.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Roann Church of the Brethren, Roann, with Pastor Brad Eckerley officiating. Burial will be at Roann Community Cemetery.

Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Grandstaff-Hentgen Roann Chapel, 333 S. Chippewa Road, Roann.
