Rail Crossing

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:
I see the city politicians have a hole burning in the taxpayers’ pockets. They want a feasibility study about the railroad crossing on Center Street.
Everything now must be studied endlessly and usually by out-of-towners, costing over $60,000. I have studied that track crossing hundreds of times and it seems fine to me. Add some asphalt now and then and tell people to slow down, problem fixed. But that would never do. Everything has to be a federal case.
