Purdue Extension 4-H Youth Development Announces STEM Program For Youth
Posted
Staff Report-
Kosciusko County 4-H STEM Program, Destination Discovery, is a new hands-on STEM program open to all youth, not just 4-H members, in our community.
Destination Discovery brings STEM into classrooms and youth organizations, giving young people of all ages the opportunity to learn and experience more about computer science, electricity, plant and animal science.
With a grant from the Kosciusko REMC Operation Roundup Fund, a component fund of the Kosciusko County Community Foundation, Inc., the Kosciusko County 4-H Council was able to purchase a classroom set of Sphero Bolt robots for use in the computer science unit of Destination Discovery.
The Sphero Bolt robots teach participants coding and unlock the invertor just waiting to come out, all the while youth are playing and having fun, according to a news release.
