• 1 p.m. Tuesday - Michael Lee Smith Jr., 41, of 8469 N. CR 620E, Syracuse, arrested for misdemeanor probation violation. No bond set.
• 5:41 p.m. Tuesday - Brett Allen Niccum, 30, of 3531 W. Ind. 14, Silver Lake, arrested for theft of auto parts. No bond set.
• 7:51 p.m. Tuesday - Benjamin L. Guzman, 32, of 123 E. Rochester St., Akron, arrested for resisting a law enforcement officer by fighting, battery against a public safety official engaged in official busy and on a warrant and foreign warrant. Bond: $25,000.

• 8:59 a.m. Tuesday - Identity deception was reported in the 1700 block of East CR 225S, Winona Lake. Winona Lake Police Department investigated.
• 10:47 p.m. Tuesday - A hit-and-run was reported in the 1500 block of West Center Street, Warsaw. Warsaw Police Department investigated.
