On the news, it has talked about and talked about of how concerned the politicians are about the middle class making an income of $75,000. I live in an apartment complex for retired and disabled individuals, many of whom live on well below $10,000 annually. I know there are a number of people living here well under an annual income of $8,000. What income bracket do you politicians consider these people? Do the math if you can. How many years would it take the majority of us here to ever earn $75,000? And meanwhile, the debt you continue to take our country into buys us less and less.
Why don't you do without your income? How about you donate it to a much-needed homeless shelter in this county? Or how about to go toward a medical clinic for the working poor who cannot begin to afford health insurance? I doubt any of you would do it. Instead, you keep voting yourselves increases in your income time after time.
