This is a letter to Anthony Burchette, Gary Eppenbaugh and Jeff Sanders.
So 2009 has not been a good year. I don't have to name all the things that have affected almost every one of us. But what are you guys going to do to make 2010 a better year? Can we please stop back biting and name calling.
Jeff, you wrote a letter titled "Move On". Well, all I saw was more name calling. I appreciate everyone's point of view, and that's all it is, your opinion for that day and your right to freedom of speech. One thing that has not been taken from us yet.
My comments are just this; I am so tired of the Republicans being lambasted for all they have done wrong. Both political parties leave a lot to be desired currently. Wake up, before George Bush was a man William Jefferson Clinton, who had three terrorist attacks on our country and did nothing to protect us during his time in office. He was more noted for his affairs with the girl in the little blue dress. And the House of Representatives actually impeached him, something that you seldom hear in the news and history.
George Bush made mistakes too; he is still taking hits for all of his mistakes by our current president. But name me something that President Obama has done that is good since he has been in office. He has caused our grandchildren and their children enormous debt. His push for the health care bill is going to put huge taxes on us and many businesses in our community who provide medical devices. I hope none of you earn your income from these companies, because it will cause jobs to be lost. What business in this country wants the government to control every aspect of their business, by regulations and taxes? He wants to take away our ability of free choice and impose taxes on us that many of us cannot afford.
It is unconstitutional for a congress and senate to impose something on the American people that they are not willing themselves to participate in. By this I mean the Republicans brought it to the congress, that if this health care was so good, then they would go on the same plan as what they want the American people to have. Republicans voted unanimously "Yes" that they would and the Democrats voted unanimously "No" and that's a fact. Now does that not leave you with a big question, if it good enough for me then why isn't it good enough for them? Those who think it is the best thing since sliced cheese are those who are not having it forced upon them or are totally ignorant and don't understand that they are going to pay more for the government run health plan. It will cost me more to have government-run health care and take away my choice.
It is time for a big shake up in government. President Obama spoke of hope and change and I can only hope for change in the year 2010, from the Congress to the Senate I hope there is a change. We all have made mistakes, but what are we going to do to make it better in 2010 and in the future. My resolution is to pray for this country, our leaders, and our men and women who defend this country.
