A Pierceton man suffered serious injuries in a motor scooter accident Friday morning.
According to information from the Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office, at 10:07 a.m. Friday, deputies responded to a report of a personal injury crash on U.S. 30W near Van Ness Road.
Upon arrival, the deputies learned that Stevie Dewayne Jefferson, 54, had been in a single motor scooter crash. His scooter struck debris on the shoulder and Jefferson lost control of the scooter.
He was taken by Lutheran EMS to Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne because of his serious injuries, according to the information from KCSO.
Also assisting at the scene were Pierceton Fire and Police departments and Tri-County EMS.
