Pierceton Man Facing Charges After Threats To Deputy A Pierceton man is facing a felony intimidation charge after allegedly threatening a Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Office deputy.

Justin John Desomer, 49, of 59 EMS B6B Lane, Pierceton, and also showing an address of 8616 E. CR 500N, North Webster, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday and faces a Level 6 felony intimidation charge.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Tuesday in Kosciusko Superior Court I, the sheriff’s deputy reported that on Feb. 3, he received a phone call from Desomer.

The deputy told investigators that he was formerly acquainted with Desomer from when he once coached Desomer’s child in sports years ago. The deputy further stated that he believes Desomer has some mental health issues and that he has heard Desomer was espousing some conspiracy theories recently.

On Dec. 17, according to the affidavit, the deputy reported that he received a text out of the blue from Desomer, who identified himself and wrote, “You ready to talk yet?? Probably not huh? I hope you end up doing what is right ... That begins with talking to me.”

The deputy said he never responded to that text. During the Feb. 3 phone call, according to court papers, the deputy said Desomer told him he “needs to do the right thing.” When the deputy told Desomer he does not know what he’s talking about, Desomer allegedly said that he has lived here for 44 years and “I thought you would do the right thing, but that must not be the case. You need to watch yourself and your family.”

Desomer allegedly continued to warn the deputy that “they are coming, better watch your family” and then text messages following the phone call referenced the deputy’s brother-in-law.

When police spoke to Desomer’s estranged wife, according to the affidavit, she told police Desomer is not mentally stable and that she believes he is capable of causing injury to people due to his delusions. The woman further told police that Desomer suffered a brain injury in 2016, causing his personality to change. She alleged he began using methamphetamine and that, combined with his head injury, caused him to act unstable and paranoid, according to court documents.

Desomer’s bond was set at $5,250.
