Pharmacy Tech Arrested After Allegedly Stealing Drugs From JobA former CVS Pharmacy tech recently was arrested after she allegedly stole drugs from the business while on the job.

Anjil D. Bradley, 29, of 5976 S. CR 50W, Claypool, and also showing an address of 201 S. Detroit St., #252, Warsaw, was booked in the Kosciusko County Jail at 3:09 p.m. Saturday and faces charges for possession or use of a legend, a Level 6 felony; and theft, a Class A misdemeanor.

According to the probable cause affidavit filed Feb. 15 in Kosciusko Circuit Court, on Dec. 21 Warsaw police received a phone call from a manager at CVS who said an internal investigation had been ongoing in reference to an employee – Bradley – stealing prescription medications for personal use.

The manager told police their investigation revealed that during sometime in mid-November, a manager observed Bradley handling Alprazolam when it was not in the queue to be used.

According to court papers, the manager observed other suspicious actions by Bradley and so he began performing counts of the drug after this incident. The manager reported that days when Bradley worked in the pharmacy, Alprazolam counts were consistently low. On Nov. 21, 30 and Dec. 12, it was determined by the store that the pills were missing.

Review of surveillance footage showed Bradley handle a bottle of Alprazolam, handle it out of view of the camera and then place the bottle back on the shelf, according to the affidavit. During these incidents, there were no active queues open for the drug, meaning she had no reason to be handling it, court papers state.

When Bradley was interviewed by the manager, she allegedly admitted to taking the pills for her own personal use.

Alprazolam is a legend drug and required a prescription to possession. Bradley further admitted that she stole Suboxone the previous year for personal use as well, according to the affidavit.

The total value of prescription medication stolen by Bradley was calculated to be $124.78, according to court papers.

Her bond was set at $5,250.
