Penmanship

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:
Your letters policy is that to have a letter published it must have a valid signature and that all letters will be accompanied with the name of the writer.
My complaint is that my most recent letter, published Monday, Nov. 26, was misprinted.
What I wrote was as follows: “Mr. Pontius, I was as disappointed as you at the recent election.” What you printed in the newspaper read as follows: “Mr Pontius, I am so disappointed at you at the recent election.” There were other typos also in my letter but then I find them throughout the paper more days than not.
By the way, I am going to be in the market for a new job beginning the last two weeks of December in case you are in the market for a proof reader.
In the future I may be using a different name when submitting letters to the editor as I don’t appreciate my name connected with so many typos.
On another note, I do enjoy my hometown newspaper, read it every day, even with the typos, so thank you anyway.

P.S. I know, I know. It is probably my penmanship. Sorry.
